Two Men Agree To Marry The Same Woman

 

Two Kenyan men have signed an agreement to "marry" the same woman.

The woman had been having affairs with both men for more than four years and apparently refused to choose between them.

The agreement sets out a rota for Sylvester Mwendwa and Elijah Kimani to stay in her house and states they will both help raise any children she bears. Mr Mwendwa told the BBC he loved the woman and said the contract would "set boundaries" and "keep the peace".

Barely 24 hours after Governor Danbaba Suntai, addresed the people of Taraba State through a recorded video, the state House of Assembly on Thursday advised him to return to the hospital in the United States where he was on admission for further treatment.

The assembly, in a statement by its Speaker said, “Be that as it may, we the undersigned members of the state assembly have unanimously resolved in our meeting that the deputy governor, upon whom power was earlier transmitted by the State House of Assembly, still remains the Acting Governor of Taraba State and he will continue to act in that regard until such a time the governor is capable of administering the state.”

Confusion in Taraba over Suntai’s health status

 

There was confusion in Taraba State on Wednesday as the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mr. Haruna Tsokwa and the Majority Leader, Mr. Joseph Albasu, disagreed on who ran the affairs of the state as governor.

While Tsokwa said the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Alhaji Garba Umar, would continue to act as governor until the Assembly deliberated on the letter by the recuperating Governor Danbaba Suntai seeking to resume duty, Albasu claimed that Suntai had already taken charge as the state’s Chief Executive.

A teenager who was caught in the tyre well of an Arik aircraft coming from Benin to Lagos has finally been identified as Daniel Ihekina.

The boy revealed his reason for making such a dangerous move, according to him, he was being maltreated by his parents which caused to attempt leaving them for good. He further revealed that he thought the aircraft was bound for the United states of America but was shocked when he noticed he was still in Nigeria.

The stowaway was handed over to the SSS for further investigations. His parents are currently on their way to Lagos to pick him up.

A former senator’s son has been arrested and remanded in prison following his involvement in robbery in Abuja.

Police sources told Vanguard that the former senator’s son, who hails from Ekiti State, led a gang of armed robbers to rob a Colonel (names withheld) at Mbora Estate by Jabi District, where his AK-47 and other valuable items were removed.

The source disclosed that the robbery operation which took place on the July 5, 2013, resulted in the arrest of the ex-senator’s son whose name was given as Ola Kila.

Stranded Boko Haram Member, Slaughter Fellow Members for Food in Magumeri, Borno Forest – Suspect Confessed

 

Shocking revelation emerged during the weekend that members of the Islamic violent group, Boko Haram in Magumeri forest, Borno, are beginning to eat themselves after being stranded for days without food or water.

Mallam Momodu Bukar, a suspected member of the outlawed sect told newsmen on Saturday in Maiduguri that he fled the camp at the forest on Thursday when he could no longer cope with the situation.

“I thank God that I escaped because I would have been slaughtered by now to provide meal for my colleagues at the camp,” Bukar said.

According to him, he was captured by a youth vigilante group, popularly known as the civilian JTF at Baga Road motor park, Maiduguri, on Friday.

 When D’Banj was also a Globacom ambassador, he also asked for more and was also unceremoniously shown the door. As at press time, however, Globacom was yet to respond to TON’s enquiries on the issue.
